Capital Improvement Project 1: Holt Field Revitalization

Goals:
– Begin overhaul small t-ball field to be regulation for softball – fencing, grading, dugouts, relocate home plate near snack shack

– Clear area and grade new all-purpose walking path around complex for community

– Complete safety updates

– Install state-of-the-art lighting system and run electricity for field complex to be used at for community events in the evening		Goals:
– Complete overhaul of small t-ball field (from Phase 1)

– Install fencing around outside of Holt Field Complex

– Install hard-surface walking path (from Phase 1)



Goals:
– Overhaul baseball field – fencing, dugouts, grading

– Install state-of-the-art scoreboard

– Update Holt Field Snack Shack





Project planning through Plympton Recreation Commission in conjunction with Town Properties, the Board of Selectmen, Plympton Fire, Plympton Police, and the Highway Dept.

Funds approved from the Community Preservation Act (CPA) through a Special Town Meeting vote (May 2024)

Funds donated from PAYS for new light poles and lighting at Holt Field (April 2024)

Snack shack upgrades through community volunteers (April 2024)		CURRENT PHASE:
Fundraising and outreach to businesses to partner with Plympton Rec Committee & PAYS as they continue the endeavor to enhance the town’s recreation facilities with upgrades that benefit people of all ages.

*Donate $1,500 or more by August 10, 2024 for your business to be memorialized on a plaque at Holt Field to be unveiled at a ceremony at the completion of the project.

Fundraising by PAYS families to support the project – opportunities to earn prizes to be announced soon		Phase 3 details to be outlined soon.

Proceeds from funds donated in Phase 2 will roll-over to Phase 3 projects.










The Holt Field Complex, a cornerstone of Plympton’s recreational landscape, is in need of your support. Owned and maintained by the dedicated Town of Plympton through the Plympton Recreation Committee, the field has served countless families for years.
